Job summary

IAS Laboratories is seeking a Field Technician to support environmental monitoring across diverse field locations in Ireland. You will conduct on-site sampling of groundwater, surface water, leachate and drinking water, and compile reports for clients and regulators.

The role requires a Level 8 degree in Environmental Science or a Level 6 with relevant experience, strong teamwork and communication skills, and a willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions. Full-time, on-site with training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 8 degree in Environmental Science or equivalent, or Level 6 with relevant experience.
• Experience in environmental sampling techniques is preferred; training provided.
• Proficiency with MS Office and report compilation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental sampling of groundwater, surface water, leachate, and drinking water.
• Conduct Q-value assessments on surface waters, effluent, sludge, grass and soil.
• Liaise with clients and represent IAS Laboratories professionally in the field.
• Maintain and calibrate field equipment, vehicles and PPE to high standards.
• Prepare detailed reports for submission to regulators such as the EPA.
• Adhere to safety protocols and incident reporting; manage schedules efficiently.
