Job summary

Intellect in Cork (primarily onsite) is seeking a hands-on Technical Services Engineer for the Imaging and Print Technical Services team. You will diagnose hardware faults, repair devices, image and configure laptops/desktops, and support field service operations across office and customer sites.

The role requires 1+ year in hardware break/fix, customer-facing support, and English communication. A company van, pension, wellness programme, and ongoing training are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Hardware / Break-Fix experience (1+ year)
• 1+ year in customer-facing technical support
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Experience with Managed Print / Print Fleet software or related tooling

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and break/fix repairs on IT hardware (laptops, PCs, printers, servers)
• Maintain workshop stock, tools and equipment with full accountability
• Prepare and coordinate parts for field service operations
• Deploy standard images and builds to laptops/desktops
• Carry out warranty repairs in line with procedures
• Stage and prepare equipment for project deployments before installation
• Support overflow break/fix workload to maintain service levels
• Be first point of contact for workshop service requests and calls
• Provide technical support to field engineers and teams
• Ensure documentation and system updates are accurate in real time
• Maintain call management system updates with status and resolutions
• Deliver professional, timely communication to customers
• Represent the organisation to brand and service standards
• Collaborate across teams to meet service targets
• Perform routine maintenance like health checks and firmware updates
• Deliver assigned project tasks within scope, timelines and quality requirements
• Ensure data protection and information security compliance
