Job summary

Presidio is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair printers and multifunction devices across the organisation. You will ensure reliable print services, troubleshoot complex issues, and support print-related projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, work with vendors for hardware and consumables, and adapt to evolving technologies and environments while maintaining security and best practices in managed print services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in printer maintenance and support.
• Hands-on experience with major brands (HP, Sharp, Canon, Xerox, Ricoh).
• Strong knowledge of printer hardware and firmware.
• Familiarity with network printing protocols (IPP, LPD, SMB).
• Basic understanding of Windows Print Server.
• Experience with secure print solutions and managed print services (e.g. Kofax Safecom, Papercut).

The Role

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of printers and multifunction devices across the organisation. Installation and maintenance of print solutions. This role ensures reliable print services, provides advanced troubleshooting, and supports print-related projects. The technician will also mentor junior staff and liaise with vendors for hardware and consumables.

Responsibilities Include

• Strong knowledge of all MFD and print technologies including but not limited to HP, Sharp, Ricoh, Canon etc.
• Proficient in networking, managed print software solutions and diagnostics
• Experienced in fault resolution and escalation procedures
• Experience in using incident call logging applications such as Service Now, Ivanti etc
• Ability to mentor Junior Field service engineers
• Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies & environments
• Ability to remain cool under pressure
