Job summary

Convergint is seeking a reliable Security Systems Service Engineer to support service delivery across Dublin and the surrounding region. This field-based role covers maintenance, fault finding, and repairs of the full electronic security suite including access control, CCTV, and intruder alarms.

You will join Convergint’s service team to deliver high-quality work, complete detailed service reports, and communicate professionally with customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in electronic security industry with enterprise-grade systems.
• Strong knowledge of IP CCTV and VMS platforms (Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis).
• Experience with HKC/Galaxy/Vanderbilt electronic security systems.
• Solid networking fundamentals; fault diagnosis skills.
• Experience in mission-critical or high-security environments.
• Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Deliver reactive and planned service support across Dublin and surrounding region.
• Carry out fault finding, maintenance, and repairs on Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder systems.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance activities as scheduled.
• Support minor works, system upgrades and enhancements.
• Perform testing, verification, and commissioning where required.
• Accurately complete service reports and job records.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Escalate complex or critical issues as needed.
• Adhere to service standards, health & safety requirements and quality processes.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call duty roster for emergencies on a scheduled and rotational basis
