Job summary

Acre Security in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Service & Maintenance Engineer to deliver reactive and preventive maintenance across electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and life safety. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and document activities, coordinating with customers to minimise disruption and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

This client-facing role requires clear communication, punctuality, and the ability to manage multiple service requests

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic security systems such as access control, CCTV and life safety is required.
• Experience in service, maintenance or field engineering environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.
• Accurate record-keeping and documentation of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive and preventive maintenance services to customers across electronic security systems.
• Inspect and assess systems to identify faults and required maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair access control, CCTV, life safety and related systems.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule maintenance while minimising disruption.
• Complete routine maintenance tasks and diagnostic testing per service standards.
• Maintain accurate service records including inspection reports and work logs.
• Document changes to system configurations during maintenance and repair.
• Provide regular updates on system condition and recurring issues.
• Act as a professional onsite point of contact with customers and internal teams.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage workload to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Follow safety, quality and compliance requirements on customer sites.
