Job summary

Emd Group is seeking a Field Sales Specialist to grow our BioMonitoring business across Ireland and Scotland. You will prospect, hunt opportunities, and build relationships from the field, with some online meetings.

Travel about 50-60% for visits, demos, and client discussions to drive sales growth. You will work closely with the regional sales team to accelerate market penetration and secure new business, leveraging EZ-Fit, EZ-Pak, ReadyStream, and culture media solutions.

Qualifications

• Experienced sales professional in related industry.
• Proven microbiology, food safety, or lab testing experience.
• Proactive in opening new accounts and creating opportunities.
• Strong microbiology workflow knowledge: pathogens, indicators, environmental monitoring, sample prep.
• Fluent in English; willing to travel 50-60% Ireland/Scotland.
• Excellent communication and self-driven; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

The Role

Join our team as a Field Sales Specialist and play a pivotal role in expanding our BioMonitoring Food & Beverage business across Ireland and Scotland. This is your chance to take charge of prospecting, hunting for new opportunities, and building relationships directly from the field, with some online meetings included. You’ll be working with our innovative BioMonitoring solutions, including EZ-Fit, EZ-Pak, ReadyStream, Assurance GDS, and culture media. Expect to travel about 50-60% of the time for customer visits, product demonstrations, and engaging discussions that drive sales growth. Collaborate closely with our regional sales team to accelerate market penetration and secure new business. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and a clear career path.

Who You Are

• Experienced sales professional, ideally in a similar industry.
• Have proven experience in microbiology, food safety, food quality, or laboratory testing.
• Eager to discover new accounts and create opportunities.
• Solid technical understanding of microbiology workflows, including pathogens, indicators, environmental monitoring, and sample preparation.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50-60% of the time across Ireland & Scotland.
• Dynamic, self-driven, and capable of working independently, with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, including managing pivot tables, as this will be part of your daily tasks.
