Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking a Construction Material Technician to join our team at Breedon Surfacing Solutions in Rossmore Quarry, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.

You will be responsible for on-site testing of Bituminous products and related materials, collaborating with our contract surfacing division and ensuring compliance with quality standards. You will work with sampling, testing, recording data, and supporting equipment calibration, with flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• Leafing certificate or equivalent required.
• Experience working in a team environment and supporting colleagues.
• Flexibility to work night shifts or weekends if required.
• Valid driving licence to fulfil duties.

Responsibilities

• Test and sample aggregate, bituminous and unbound materials on-site and in the lab.
• Record sample details on test sheets and electronic systems.
• Maintain safe, tidy workspace and calibrate equipment as required.
• Assist with inspections from accrediting bodies.
• Provide technical cover for other contracts within the Southern Ireland region.
• Carry out daily equipment checks.
• Prepare for site/plant inspections and ensure quality procedures are followed.
