Job summary

DX2 Training Solutions is seeking a part-time Faculty Member to provide tuition in emergency care subjects. DX2 Faculty Member – Job Description

Directly responsible to: Operations Manager

  • Organizations and networks relevant to the Faculty member’s specialism

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide tuition in the subject matter of the syllabus/module content to the satisfaction of the Director of Training and in accordance with education and training standards.
  2. Prepare courses, schemes of work, assessment tools and individual lessons appropriate to the needs, interests, experience and existing knowledge of the learners.
  3. Arrive at a reasonable time before the commencement of each class, record attendance using the prescribed system, and ensure the class starts on schedule.
  4. Fulfil other duties incidental to the proper management of and evaluation of the progress of the class as required.
  5. Mark and assess learners’ work and record their development progress and attainment both in class and elsewhere.
  6. Carry out all assessments and evaluations appropriate to delivering each module.
  7. Participate in programme planning, policy formulation and revision of guidelines.
  8. Stay current with educational thinking and practice through study, courses, workshops and meetings.
  9. Protect the property of DX2 Training Solutions equipment, supervise packing/unpacking during transport between centers.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring all communications with learners are appropriate, encouraging and praising learners, treating each learner with respect, offering constructive guidance, listening to concerns, and familiarising themselves with the extensive work of DX2 Training Solutions.

Qualifications and Person Specification
Essential
  • Practitioner on the Pre‑Hospital Emergency Care Council Register
  • Full driving licence
  • Availability to deliver a minimum of 6 shifts per month
Desirable but not essential
  • PHECC Educational Award Holder at Assistant Tutor or Tutor, Manual and Person Handling Instructor
