Job summary

Merit Medical Galway is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance and facility teams ensuring reliable operation of production and site utilities. You will supervise, train, and develop team members, schedule and oversee repair activities, and coordinate contractors to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, facilities or regulated environment.
• Demonstrated leadership competencies.
• Knowledge of reliability centred maintenance (RCM), predictive and preventive maintenance as well as TPM and lean initiatives.
• Knowledge of supervision principles.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve moderately complex technical problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance team and sets clear goals for each team member.
• Interviews, hires, trains team members as needed.
• Evaluates job performance and schedules work.
• Oversees repair and maintenance of production equipment and facility utilities.
• Trains technicians on up-to-date problem solving and maintenance techniques.
• Develops and maintains KPI's and metrics for the department.
• Maintains inventory of critical spare parts for production and facilities equipment.
• Ensures reliable operation and compliance of site facilities systems (HVAC, chillers, RO, fire alarm, BMS).
• Coordinates contractors and service providers for safe, compliant maintenance activities.
• Leads sustainability projects and energy reduction initiatives for Merit’s strategy.
• Writes reports and extracts data from engineering reports for presentation.
