Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a maintenance operative to deliver planned and reactive maintenance and fabric works across nationwide contracts. The role includes troubleshooting, repairs, and assisting with small project works, under the supervision of the site and contract teams.

Candidates should demonstrate general maintenance and repair skills with basic facilities experience and the ability to identify and solve faults.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with Helpdesk team to carry out planned preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Carry out a range of duties to cover minor mechanical and general building fabric maintenance.
• Proactively identify maintenance issues and report back to Helpdesk.
• Liaise with the Helpdesk and Contract Managers and respond to queries to ensure conformance with SLAs.
• Deal with colleagues, suppliers and contractors in a timely and courteous manner.
• Ensure correct and safe use of hand and power tools on sites and ensure equipment is calibrated/tested as required.
• Assist other departments if required.
• Provide support in the implementation of short- and long-term projects.
• Pursue continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and collaborate in a team environment.

List of Duties:

• Liaising with Helpdesk team to carry out planned preventative maintenance as assigned and under our remit.
• To carry out a range of duties to cover minor mechanical and general building fabric maintenance, which will consist of some general operative tasks.
• Proactively identify maintenance issues and report back to Helpdesk.
• Liaise with the Helpdesk and Contract Managers and respond to all queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreements.
• Deal with colleagues, suppliers and contractors in a timely and courteous manner.
• Ensure correct and safe use of hand and power tools on sites and ensure that all equipment used is calibrated and certified/tested as required.
• Assist other departments if/when required.
• Provide support in the implementation of short- and long-term projects as required.
• Pursue continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and collaborate in a team environment.
