St Patrick's Mental Health Services in Dublin is seeking a Facilities Foreperson to lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure the structural safety and suitability of the building for service user care. The role reports to the Facilities Manager and covers a 39-hour week, Monday to Thursday plus Friday shifts.

The salary on the Foreman scale ranges from €53,795 to €56,953, with benefits including travel allowances, annual leave, pension, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Have completed at least 5 years’ post-apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical trade.
• Experience working in commercial maintenance in their trade.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Experience managing a team.
• Proficient computer literacy.
• Broad technical knowledge.
• Broad knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage, supervise and develop a multidisciplinary Facilities team comprising General Operatives, Porters and other multi-skilled staff.
• Demonstrate exceptional organisation skills to prioritise works and schedule tasks.
• Undertake tasks generated by the Daily Work Order system (CMMS) and sign off when complete.
• Ensure all meter readings are documented and recorded on a scheduled basis, reviewing consumption monitoring for excessive use.
• Partake in Legionella prevention programme and ensure associated PMs are completed on schedule.
• Ensure all hospital vehicles are maintained in good working order.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety and Facilities to meet requirements.
• Competent to work at heights with hospital-supplied equipment.
