Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our Ballytivnan, Sligo site on a permanent, onsite basis. The role reports to the Site Services Lead and involves managing pest control, cleaning, canteen services, and facility operations in GMP and non-GMP areas.

You will lead quality reviews, support audits, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient maintenance of infrastructure and services.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cGMP environment (minimum 3+ years).
• Minimum 5+ years work experience in a facilities/engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pest control and cleaning programs across GMP and non-GMP areas.
• Lead on-site catering/service provider oversight to ensure high standards.
• Present quality reviews for GMP cleaning and pest control programs.
• Act as site audits liaison for internal, global, and regulatory inspections.
• Manage grounds maintenance and landscaping; point of contact for service providers.
• Ensure compliance with global/site engineering and quality policies and EHS procedures.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs; monitor performance and due dates.
• Coordinate external facilities contractors and oversee validation activities as required.
