Job summary

Abbott Ireland is seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager in Donegal Town to lead hard and soft services at the Abbott Diabetes Care site. You will plan budgets, manage maintenance, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with GMP standards. Strong people management and a background in regulated facilities are essential.

You will coordinate facility projects, develop SOPs, and mentor the facilities team while upholding safety and quality across the site.

Qualifications

• Ten years of relevant experience in a similar industry.
• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong background in facilities management, preferably regulated.
• People management experience.
• Understanding of GMP and facilities management software/tools.
• Lean Six Sigma qualification desirable (Green/Black Belt).

Responsibilities

• Plan future facility activities, budgets, projects, and day-to-day site operations.
• Source and maintain facilities equipment and services with cost, schedule and performance in mind.
• Ensure reliability, maintenance, repair and improvement of site facilities.
• Identify opportunities for new technology and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain data management methods, procedures and reports for facilities functions.
• Support CAPA investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to SOPs, protocols, specs, and validation docs.
• Drive continuous environmental, health and safety improvements and develop the Facilities team.
