CREGG are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our Galway-based medical device manufacturing client. The role focuses on maintenance, reliability and project delivery for mechanical and building systems.

You will manage preventative and predictive maintenance, oversee contractors, and support installation and commissioning of nitrogen generation and bulk argon systems while ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' engineering experience at an professional level.
• Experience in mechanical and building services maintenance.
• Familiarity with nitrogen generation and bulk argon is advantageous.
• Strong ability to manage projects and coordinate contractors.

Facilities Engineer

CREGG are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our Galway-based medical device manufacturing client.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and building services systems.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Nitrogen Generation project installation, Bulk Argon experience is favourable
• Diagnose mechanical faults and coordinate corrective maintenance activities.
• Oversee contractors and specialist service providers carrying out mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure all mechanical equipment operates safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards and site procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation and equipment history.
• Support the installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of nitrogen generation systems
• Provide engineering support for bulk argon storage and supply systems, Air Handling Units, Heat Pumps, Sprinkler Systems etc
• Coordinate mechanical installation works, equipment upgrades and modifications.
• Support system commissioning, performance testing and handover of new installations.
• Ensure appropriate safety controls are in place when working with industrial gas systems, including pressure systems and oxygen-deficiency risks.

Requirements

• Level 8 Degree in STEM discipline
• Minimum 4 years’ experience at Engineering Level
• Proven project management
• Candidates must have full working rights in Ireland
