Job summary

Hunter Savage is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Manager for a leading food manufacturing site near Derry/Donegal. You will take full ownership of the site services, lead a small engineering team and drive both reactive and preventative maintenance.

The role requires an HNC/degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 4–5 years of supervisory experience, with strong problem-solving and regulatory liaison skills. The position is on-site with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• HNC or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or multi-skilled across both disciplines).
• 4 to 5 years engineering supervisory or management experience in an industrial environment.
• Solid knowledge of modern maintenance techniques and PPM implementation.
• Strong problem-solving ability and confident working with external bodies on site accreditations.
• Clean driving licence and within 30 to 60 minutes of the site.

Our client, a well-established food manufacturing business located just outside Derry City, is looking to appoint an Engineering & Facilities Manager to take full ownership of the site services function.

You will manage a small engineering team across all aspects of plant and equipment, including refrigeration, effluent plant operations and facilities maintenance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can balance reactive maintenance with a strong planned preventative maintenance programme.

What you need:

• HNC or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or multi-skilled across both disciplines
• 4 to 5 years engineering supervisory or management experience in an industrial environment
• Solid knowledge of modern maintenance techniques and PPM implementation
