Job summary

NIRAS are a specialist engineering consultancy focused on the design and delivery of advanced, process engineering-driven projects. We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our client’s team in the West of Ireland on a 12-month contract.

You will manage facilities, utilities, and infrastructure projects, driving improvements and ensuring GMP and health & safety compliance throughout all activities. The role requires a degree in engineering, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication

Responsibilities

• Manage and contribute to facilities, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Implement initiatives that improve site reliability, operational efficiency, sustainability, and overall performance.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and external contractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
• Take ownership of project schedules, budgets, risks, and communication with key stakeholders.
• Support site developments, facility upgrades, expansion projects, planned maintenance programmes, and enhancements to critical systems.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, regulatory standards, health and safety requirements throughout all project activities.
• Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the long-term development and capability of the sites.

We're looking for a Facilities Engineer experienced in solving problems, driving improvements, and bringing projects to life to join our client's team based in the West of Ireland. The successful candidate will play a visible role in delivering facility, utility, infrastructure, and sustainability projects that directly support healthcare manufacturing. This is a 12 month contract role.

Requirements:

• Experience within facilities, project engineering, utilities, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of facility systems such as HVAC, electrical, water, energy, or building services.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and deliver results.
