Job summary

Eurofins are seeking a General Operative to support the EHS & Facilities team at our Dungarvan site. The role focuses on maintaining buildings, grounds and safety systems while ensuring audit-ready conditions. Working 39 hours/week, with some Saturdays in a 4-week cycle, the position requires flexibility and a proactive approach.

Full driving licence is essential; forklift qualification is an advantage. Strong teamwork, reliability and a proactive attitude are valued in this busy life-sciences

Qualifications

• Previous GMP production, laboratory, facilities or regulated-site experience is desirable.
• Previous experience in facilities/general operative roles is desirable.
• Full, clean driving licence is essential; forklift licence or materials-handling training is an advantage.
• Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft software.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high housekeeping standards.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Good communication skills with internal teams and external vendors.
• Reliable, flexible and able to support changing site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the EHS, Facilities Maintenance and Housekeeping teams with material, equipment and furniture moves across the site.
• Be available to support building emergencies and call-outs, including alarms or site incidents.
• Support in-house preventative maintenance activities and general maintenance tasks.
• Maintain upkeep and appearance of buildings and support areas, including minor repairs.
• Be the point of contact for site water systems and PM vendor management.
• Ensure plant rooms, stores and facilities are clean, tidy, secure and audit-ready.
