Job summary

Autism A Chara invites applications for a Facilitator - Community Support Service in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

This full-time role (39 hours weekly) focuses on delivering person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, in line with Key Worker ethos. The facilitator will implement Programme Planning, develop Person Centred Plans, and support daily living activities, community engagement, and skills development, while maintaining safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• A full QQI level 5 major award in Health/Care is essential.
• Awareness of Key Worker/ Support Worker Role and philosophy surrounding support to people with complex needs.
• Programme Planning Person Centred Plans
• Availability to work shifts on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Support engagement in community activities.
• Help individuals learn new skills and understand their rights and choices.

Qualifications required for a Facilitator:

A full QQI level 5 Health Care Qualification is essential, (e.g. health, community, care sector) but a genuine passion for providing person centred support is key to being successful in the role of a Support Worker.
