Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Soft Services Technician to support the smooth maintenance of building fabric and deliver reliable facilities management services.

You will act as a key member of the integrated facilities management function, providing guidance, support, and expertise to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard. Qualifications

• 3 years general trade experience within a regulated environment.
• Trade Certificate in Building Fabric Maintenance or Construction.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned IFM works: building maintenance and Helpdesk tasks; interact with end users and building maintenance lead.
• Respond to emergency requests across the site involving building fabric damage, spills, leaks, or equipment issues with minimal impact to operations.
• Ensure repairs are performed to the required standard and coordinate with the IFM team as needed.
• Supervise specialist vendors to ensure work quality and compliance with permits to work for third party contractors.

Job description

The soft services technician is accountable for the smooth execution of all appropriate functions associated with reliable maintenance of the building and building fabric.

He/She will contribute to the High-Performance culture within the integrated facilities management function by providing a flexible, accurate service to enable the team to achieve key deliverables. He/She is an active member of the integrated facilities management function providing support, guidance and expertise.

Site Compliance

• Required to comply with the client’s global policies, procedures, guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current good manufacturing practice in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.
• Complete site training and keep up to date with the latest operational procedures.
• Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture

Safety / EHS Responsibility

• Attend CBRE toolbox talks
• Work with a culture of EHS excellence at facility and provide high-quality safety, health and welfare technical approach to assigned operations.
• Work with site permitting and compliance strategies.

Complete assigned IFM works

• Complete assigned building maintenance and Helpdesk tasks. Actively interact with end users, and the building maintenance lead.
• To respond to emergency requests across the site where a building maintenance activity is required. This includes (but is not limited to) building fabric damage, spills, leaks, drain blockages, furniture moves.
• To ensure repairs are implemented with minimal impact to end users or normal operation activities onsite.
• To be flexible and assist the IFM team in any role required by the business.
• Supervise of specialist vendors, to ensure work is completed to required standard.
• Issuing permits to work for third party contractors

Experience Required

3 years general trade experience (carpentry, plumbing, building, electrical) within a regulated environment.

Required Qualification

Trade Certificate in Building Fabric Maintenance or Construction
