Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd seeks a Fabric Technician to join our Dublin-based facilities team. The role focuses on reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and helping ensure high standards of H&S compliance and records management.

You will work with the engineering team and contractors, operate CMMS workflows, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a clean, safe, well-run site in Dublin 15.

Responsibilities

• Reactive repairs for desks, windows, walls and doors.
• Regular site walks to identify renovation needs.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance per CMMS.
• Assist engineers with maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure contractors and staff are H&S compliant and documentation is maintained.
• Maintain records in line with Good Practice.

Job description

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30

At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to be based in Dublin 15

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Reactive cover for repairs to desks, windows, walls and doors etc.
• Regular site walks to determine areas that require renovation attention
• To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all building fabric under our control as per the site CMMS
• Assist the engineering team to carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under our control
• Ensure that all contractors and staff are H&S compliant including management & creation of documents
• Maintain appropriate records in line with Good Practice requirements.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and Good Practice, and ensure compliance during maintenance work
• Maintain an Best Practice’ regime and encourage continuous improvements
• Liaise with the service desk / Team Lead and respond to all non-technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreement
• Fabric maintenance, including painting and decorating, door furniture, office furniture etc.
• Assist subcontractors to allow them to carry out their tasks, for example signing in, work permits
• Ensuring all facilities activities and requests are tracked and resolved in timely manner in line with the SLA.
• Liaising with department engineers and other support personnel to identify and solve problems
• Assist with the drive for 'Cost Reduction Initiatives' across the site from providing ideas though to implementation.
• To be a self-performing technician and continuously strive for self-improvement
• Ensure any training deemed necessary by your line manager is completed within the agreed timeframe
• Must be willing to take on and familiarise with all relevant site systems as deemed necessary

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in a similar position and environment
• Previous experience working in a building services maintenance role
• Must appreciate the importance of taking ownership of certain functions as allocated to the role
• Must be physically fit as this can be a demanding role
