Job summary

THE EDGE SPORTS LIMITED is seeking an experienced Bicycle Mechanic to fully build and certify new bicycles, ensuring rider safety and correct installation of parts and firmware updates for electronic bikes.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing a wide range of bicycles with various group sets and components, plus training in e-bike systems. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and a Level 5 qualification, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Essential: 3 years minimum experience in bicycle mechanics or related field.
• Essential: Level 5 qualification (Leaving Certificate or equivalent).
• Desirable: strong communications and problem solving skills; ability to work independently.
• Desirable: interest in bicycle electronics and e-bike systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and certify that new bicycles are safe to ride and properly equipped with all parts and firmware updates.
• Diagnose and repair a wide range of bicycles with various group sets and components.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on electronic and e-bike systems as required.

Job Description

To Fully Build and Certify that new bicycles are safe to ride, have all necessary parts and accessories fitted correctly and have the latest firmware updates for electronic / electric bikes. To be able to diagnose and repair a wide range of bicycles with various group-sets / parts. Bicycle Mechanic specific training in all group sets, electronic, and e-bike systems, over a minimum of 3 years and qualifications.
