Job summary

Takeda is seeking an Associate Director for MSAT at Grange Castle to lead multidisciplinary teams across process science, validation, and data science. The role focuses on technical transfers, manufacturing innovation, and continuous improvement to ensure robustness and product quality.

You will drive the use of advanced modelling and AI tools, lead process validation, and partner with global teams to align site priorities with broader objectives. A PhD and 10+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in a scientific discipline, preferably Synthetic Organic Chemistry.
• More than 10 years of industry experience.
• Strong scientific and technical understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead, inspire, and develop multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of process and cleaning validation and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to solve complex technical and manufacturing problems using innovative and scientifically sound approaches.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with site, cross-functional, and senior global leadership.
• Commitment to quality, compliance, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical leadership to multiple teams across process science, validation, and data science.
• Drive technical transfers and manufacturing innovation at Grange Castle.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, robustness, and product quality.
• Oversee laboratory operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Champion adoption of AI and modelling tools to support right-first-time transfers.
• Partner with Global Pharmaceutical Sciences and Manufacturing Sciences groups.
