Job summary

Takeda is seeking a senior MSAT leader to define and govern PAT, RTRT and APC architecture across its manufacturing network, aligning standards, investments and innovation to enable real-time process understanding and product quality. You will own the long-term PAT-enabled manufacturing capability roadmap and drive end-to-end industrialization from PoC to full deployment.

In this role, you will collaborate with Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Development, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Around ten or more years in PAT, process analytics, process control, automation, or manufacturing technology within pharma or a regulated industry.
• Hands‑on experience across instrumentation & control, PAT sensing (NIR, Raman, UV, mass spectrometry), process automation, chemometrics and multivariate analysis, and soft sensors.
• Proven delivery of PAT or digital manufacturing programs with measurable results.
• Familiarity with computerized system validation, GAMP 5, data integrity, regulatory compliance.
• Strong business sense to build an investment case, prioritize a technology portfolio and show value.
• Comfortable working across cultures and leading technical people.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern PAT, RTRT and APC architecture across Takeda’s global manufacturing network.
• Own the long-term PAT-enabled manufacturing capability roadmap.
• Lead the PAT technology and innovation portfolio across Takeda’s manufacturing network.
• Drive end‑to‑end industrialization of PAT solutions from PoC to full‑scale deployment.
• Collaborate with MSAT, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure GMP integration.
