Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Ireland is seeking an ETF Operations professional to join its ETF Services team. The role focuses on end-to-end ETF primary market processing, client servicing and regulatory compliance, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

You will act as SME for ETF issuance models, PMTC/Actual Cost calculations, PCFs and settlement processes, collaborating with APs, issuers and Capital Markets teams to drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years' experience within Transfer Agency, Fund Administration, Custody or closely related asset servicing environment.
• Strong understanding of ETF Capital Markets and the ETF operating model.
• Knowledge of Actual Cost structures across Equity and Fixed Income products.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of ETF primary market creation and redemption orders.
• Prepare, calculate and validate PMTC/Actual Cost, including review of component securities, quantities and pricing.
• Produce and validate ETF cash confirmations.

The Opportunity

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced ETF Operations professional to join its growing ETF Services team.

This is a key position within the team, responsible for the receipt and processing of ETF Primary Market orders and related activity from Authorised Participants (APs) and Market Makers (MMs).

The successful candidate will act as a key operational contact and escalation point for ETF issuers, Capital Markets teams and APs, while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and high-quality client service.

What will you do?

ETF Operations

• Manage the end-to-end processing of ETF primary market creation and redemption orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to service level agreements.
• Prepare, calculate and validate Primary Market Trading Components (PMTC/Actual Cost), including the review of component securities, quantities and pricing.
• Produce and validate ETF cash confirmations.
• Apply strong knowledge of Portfolio Composition Files (PCFs), ETF issuance models including ICSD, ICSD+ and Local CSD, and relevant settlement processes.
• Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with internal controls, regulatory requirements and operational procedures.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a primary operational contact and escalation point for Authorised Participants, ETF issuers and Capital Markets teams.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve complex operational queries, exceptions and settlement issues in a timely manner.
• Lead operational and client service review meetings where required.
• Support discussions relating to service enhancements and operational improvements.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor operational quality, productivity and risk metrics, taking ownership of issues and driving timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate process documentation and ensure appropriate operational controls are followed.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce operational risk and enhance efficiency.
• Support the implementation of new products, regulatory changes and strategic initiatives impacting ETF Operations.

Collaboration & Technical Expertise

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the ETF Operations team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
• Share knowledge and best practice to improve team capability and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence and positive client outcomes.
• Contribute to projects and change initiatives aligned with the wider ETF strategy.

What do you need to succeed?

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years' experience within Transfer Agency, Fund Administration, Custody or a closely related asset servicing environment.
• Strong understanding of ETF Capital Markets and the ETF operating model.
• Demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of ETF fund services and operational processes.
• Strong understanding of the ETF ecosystem, operations and industry trends.
• Knowledge of Actual Cost structures across Equity and Fixed Income products.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

• French language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel occasionally, primarily to Luxembourg and Paris, depending on business requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with international teams and stakeholders.
