Job summary

Guinness Storehouse, in partnership with Aramark Ireland, seeks an Event Sales Executive to drive sales and coordinate events. You will manage the full client journey, coordinating with multiple departments and ensuring accurate billing, while delivering exceptional experiences for clients and stakeholders.

You will be responsible for show-arounds, Fam trips, diary management, and nurturing relationships with key accounts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in Tourism/Hospitality in conference & banqueting, corporate events or hospitality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Flexibility to work late evenings and weekends.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Good understanding of the business events industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate events and liaise with all Guinness Storehouse departments.
  • Manage full client journey: enquiry, proposals, planning meetings, contracting and billing.
  • Conduct store tours and Fam trips.
  • Manage diary and client database within the in-house booking system.
  • Maintain relationships with client accounts and stakeholders (Diageo, DMCs, Tour Operators, PCOs).
  • Assist management with business development activities as required.
  • Align event activity with Guinness Storehouse revenue strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships to secure new business.

Job description

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Event Sales Executive to work in the Sales & Events team at the Guinness Storehouse. Promote a professional image of both Guinness Storehouse and Aramark Ireland at all times both internally and externally.

About the Role

The candidate will have responsibility for coordinating and managing sales and event functions within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinating events and communicating with all departments within Guinness Storehouse.
  • Responsibility of the full client journey including enquiry management, proposal generation, planning meetings with clients, contracting and coordinating final details, and ensure accurate billing.
  • Conduct show-arounds of the Guinness Storehouse and facilitate FAM trips.
  • Effective diary management of the in-house booking system and maintaining the client database.
  • Relationship management with client accounts and key stakeholders (Diageo, DMC’c, Tour Operators, PCO’s).
  • Assisting Management with business development activities as required.
  • Understanding of the correct event business to take that aligns with the Guinness Storehouse’s revenue strategy.
  • Networking, building and maintaining relationships with a view to securing new business.
Qualifications
  • 3rd level qualification in business/or hospitality would be beneficial.
Required Skills
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the Tourism / Hospitality industry within a conference and banqueting, corporate events or hospitality role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including on occasion working late evenings and weekends.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude to work.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Comfortable working within a busy and dynamic team/business.
  • Good understanding of the business events industry.
Preferred Skills
  • 3rd level qualification in business/or hospitality would be beneficial.
