We are seeking an Event CAD Technician to join our team!

This is the role that turns a designer's vision into something that can actually be built. You'll take 3D concepts and visuals and transpose them into detailed drawings, considering structure, materials and finishes at every step. You'll work closely with design and production to make sure every drawing accounts for venue health and safety, lighting, staging and equipment standards. You’ll be the link between the vision of the design team, and the production of world-class experiences, environments and live events.

  • Location: Dublin, Ireland or London, UK
  • Full-time, hybrid
  • Reports to the Head of Design.
  • Annual salary: depending on experience.

Who we are looking for

  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician with a focus on event design, including previous on-site experience in live event execution.
  • Proficient in Vectorworks, in both 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
  • Able to produce accurate, detailed floorplans, elevations, sections and seating layouts, factoring in client preferences, venue specifications and safety regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction, fabrication and manufacturing techniques, including set fabrication, material sheet sizes, and steel/aluminium frames and sections, plus the materials and finishes suited to high-end brand experiences.
  • Working understanding of lighting, control, broadcast and stage design, enough to specify standard stage deck sizes and event equipment correctly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across creative and production teams.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at once, meet deadlines, and problem-solve on the fly, especially in on-site scenarios.
