Job summary

This is Catapult is seeking an Event CAD Technician to translate designers’ visions into build-ready drawings for live events. You will create detailed floorplans, elevations and seating layouts, ensuring safety, lighting and staging requirements are met. The role connects design with production to realise high-impact experiences.

Based in Dublin or London with a hybrid, full-time arrangement, you’ll report to the Head of Design and contribute to shaping immersive events for a global client base.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CAD Technician with a focus on event design and on-site live event execution.
• Strong knowledge of construction, fabrication and manufacturing techniques for high-end brand experiences.
• Understanding of lighting, control, broadcast and stage design to specify standard stage deck sizes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Turn designer concepts into detailed 2D drawings and 3D models, considering structure, materials and finishes.
• Collaborate with design and production to ensure drawings meet venue health and safety, lighting, staging and equipment standards.
• Act as the link between design vision and production of world-class experiences, environments and live events.
