Job summary

Elk River Independent School District 728 is seeking a Building Supervisor to oversee district and community use of buildings after hours. This role acts as a liaison, assists instructors with equipment, and helps maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities include guiding participants, securing areas, delivering materials, reporting incidents, and keeping first aid/CPR certifications current. Flexible hours with availability across summer and school year.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; prefer additional education beyond high school.
• Minimum age 21; ability to supervise programs and interpret/enforce policies.
• Good interpersonal communication; flexible, non-school hour scheduling.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of AV, computer and sports equipment.
• First aid and CPR certification desired.
• No experience necessary, but supervisory experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet visitors and provide directions to scheduled locations.
• Maintain positive rapport with students, staff and the public.
• Know locations of activities to ensure security and provide directions.
• Unlock/lock areas to permit access or secure spaces.
• Deliver materials to instructors and post notices; file reports.
• Assist in facility prep for activities and return to order.
• Visually check areas for unauthorized persons; report unusual activity.
• Report theft, vandalism, or damages to appropriate authorities.
• Complete written daily activity reports as needed.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR certification for safety.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings; stay updated.
• Other duties as assigned.
