Job summary

Alliance Medical in Galway is seeking a Radiographer's Assistant to join our radiology team, supporting diagnostic imaging and patient care.

The role is 25 hours per week on a permanent contract, typically 5pm-10pm with some weekend flexibility. You will assist radiographers to move and position patients, explain procedures, keep rooms clean, and contribute to a high‑quality imaging service.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical administration or healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient checks and assist in imaging procedures.
• Help move and position patients safely with Radiographers.
• Explain exam procedures to patients clearly.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and support reception.
• Assist with special procedures after training.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality imaging service.
• Follow patient care, health and safety, and radiation protection policies.
• Clean coils and scanning room; act as chaperone when needed.
