Job summary

Medica Ireland is seeking a Bank Radiology Assistant/Administrator to join our Gorey & Bray clinics. You will support radiographers with daily worklists, patient flow, and chaperone duties, ensuring patient care remains at a high standard.

The role offers flexible banking hours, exposure to diverse radiology workflows, and a hands-on clinical environment ideal for radiography students seeking experience under experienced radiographers.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is preferred but not essential.
• Currently studying Radiography is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the radiographer in completing daily worklists.
• Assist patients through the patient journey, verifying identity, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort.
• Provide chaperone support for intimate sonography examinations and maintain safety and dignity.
• Transport patients to/from scanning areas and assist with positioning.
• Maintain scanning systems and equipment and report faults.
• Complete clerical tasks: scanning referrals, entering data, and updating exam information.
• Answer phones and contact patients to arrange appointments via Healthlink.
• Set up Soliton files.
