Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Production Supervisor (Evening Shift) for a Galway based client. You will lead a team of Team Leads and Product Builders to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and People objectives within a GMP manufacturing environment.

The role emphasises health & safety, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and OTIF performance, with responsibilities for coaching, training, and cross-functional collaboration across Production, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role.
• Strong people management experience, including coaching, employee development, succession planning, and performance management.
• Proven ability to lead teams through change, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, engage, and develop employees while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
• Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships across Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other support functions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and responsibilities within the shift.
• Ensure product is manufactured to Quality standards required by customers through GMP compliance.
• Ensure employees are trained and competent, with training activities documented.
• Develop training programmes to maximise cross-training, workforce flexibility and productivity.
• Meet production volume requirements on Time in Full (OTIF) within budget and schedule.
• Coach, mentor, develop and monitor employee performance.
• Encourage open two-way communication through team meetings and daily engagement on the floor.
• Lead Lean initiatives, Kaizen events and cross-functional collaboration to eliminate waste.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, high-performing work environment.
