Job summary

ST. AIDAN'S SERVICES seeks a Community Support Facilitator for Bespoke Evening Services in Gorey. The role focuses on empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities and ASD to engage in tailored community activities. Initial 1-year fixed-term contract under HSE care role guidelines.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Health Care Support or Social Care is required.
• One year’s experience working with people with an Intellectual Disability/ ASD is required.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.
• Diploma or Degree in Social Care or related discipline is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as a facilitator for community integration, supporting individuals to participate in social, recreational, and vocational activities.
• Foster connections within the community, promoting inclusivity and acceptance for individuals with disabilities.
• Provide individualized support to enhance independence and well-being, assisting with activities of daily living and goal attainment.
• Implement behaviour support strategies in collaboration with the support team.
