Job summary

Designer Group is seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler to integrate with Project Managers, Commercial teams and site leadership. You will own programmes from development through delivery, ensuring reality matches plan and highlighting risks before they become issues.

Ideal candidates have M&E or construction experience, strong on-site understanding, and proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. The role is based on-site in Dublin with exposure to major projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Planner/Scheduler in construction or M&E contracting.
• Strong understanding of on-site delivery and sequencing.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage detailed, resource-loaded project programmes (Primavera/MS Project).
• Work with site and project teams to reflect real construction sequences.
• Identify risks and delays early; drive solutions.
• Run what-if scenarios to assess impact of changes.
• Produce clear reporting on progress, milestones and critical path.
• Support short-term planning and lookahead programmes.
• Challenge assumptions with practical planning advice across the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress on site and align programme with delivery.
• Provide planning input for variations and claims.
