Job summary

Designer Group is seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler to oversee live construction programmes from development through delivery. You will partner with Project Managers, Commercial teams and site leadership to keep programmes realistic, drive performance, and highlight risks before they become issues.

Ideal candidates will have real on-site delivery experience in an M&E or construction environment, with proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Qualifications

Experience as a Planner/Scheduler in construction or M&E contracting.
Strong understanding of on-site delivery and sequencing.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
Ability to interpret drawings and construction methodology.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Build and manage detailed, resource-loaded project programmes (Primavera / MS Project).
Work with site and project teams to reflect real construction sequences.
Identify risks, delays and pressure points early; drive solutions.
Run what-if scenarios to assess impact of changes.
Produce clear reporting on progress, milestones and critical path.
Support short-term planning and lookahead programmes.
Challenge assumptions and provide practical planning advice.
Monitor progress on site and align programme with delivery.
Provide planning input for variations and claims.
