Job summary

Designer Group is seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler to join our on-site delivery team in Ireland. You will sit at the centre of project delivery, building, managing and challenging programmes in real time with Project Managers, Commercial teams and site leadership.

You’ll own the programme from development through to delivery, ensuring it reflects reality, drives performance, and highlights risk before it becomes a problem.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Planner/Scheduler in construction or M&E contracting.
• Understanding of on-site delivery beyond paper planning.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Ability to interpret drawings and sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage detailed, resource-loaded project programmes (Primavera / MS Project).
• Work closely with site and project teams to ensure programmes reflect real construction sequences.
• Identify risks, delays and pressure points early, drive solutions.
• Run “what-if” scenarios to assess impact of changes in methodology or sequencing.
• Produce clear, accurate reporting on progress, milestones and critical path.
• Support project teams with short-term planning and lookahead programmes.
• Challenge assumptions and provide practical planning advice across the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress on site and align programme with actual delivery.
• Support commercial and project teams with planning input for variations and claims.
