Job summary

Vertiv Ireland Limited seeks an Engineering Assistant to support the design of custom busbar assemblies in an engineered-to-order setting. The role emphasizes design documentation, ERP activities, and BOM management using PLM and ERP systems.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and factory personnel to ensure timely design releases, maintain PLM integrity, and contribute to production and quality improvements across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with engineering drawings and BOM management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Experience sustaining structured Bills of Materials in PLM/ERP.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Engineering and Planning to prepare projects for production.
• Track MCC and CADMT schedule and identify deviations to meet timelines.
• Support Mechanical Engineering with scheduling design reviews and prototype reviews.
• Review and verify engineering drawings for BOM accuracy and proper storage in project folders.
• Ensure Electrical wiring diagrams, Mechanical BOM and production drawings are aligned.
• Create and manage new parts in Oracle and upload BOMs.
• Track ECOs and Deviations through PLM and ERP tools to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain PLM system integrity and document control.
