Job summary

LMH Engineering is seeking an experienced CSA Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our Commercial team in Arklow. The role focuses on pricing CSA packages with emphasis on structural steelwork, modular construction and industrial projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing tender enquiries, preparing BOQs, managing RFIs and tender submissions, and building up rates from labour, materials and subcontractor inputs. Strong reading of drawings and cost control are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveying / Estimating role.
• Experience with structural steelwork and/or architectural packages preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proven experience with BOQs and quantity take-offs.

About the Role

LMH Engineering is seeking an experienced CSA Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our Commercial team in Arklow. This role is responsible for pricing Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages, with a strong focus on structural steelwork, modular construction and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiries, drawings and specifications
• Prepare BOQs and carry out detailed quantity take-offs
• Manage RFIs, clarifications and tender submissions
• Build up rates using labour, materials, plant and subcontractor inputs
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing packages
• Identify risks, assumptions and value engineering opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams (design, operations, procurement)

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying / Estimating role
• Experience with structural steelwork and/or architectural packages preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Proven experience with BOQs and quantity take-offs
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in modular construction, data centres or industrial projects
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, CostX, or Navisworks
• Experience managing subcontractor pricing and comparisons
