Job summary

Designer Group is seeking an Estimation Graduate to join our estimating team in Ireland. You will work with experienced estimators and project teams to learn the commercial and technical processes used in tendering major M&E projects.

You will gain exposure to drawings, specifications, quantities, supplier quotations and tender submissions, while developing your skills in estimating and pre-construction through structured development and career progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to interpret technical information.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of estimates and tenders.
• Review project drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and material calculations.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Support the preparation of tender pricing.
• Maintain estimating records and databases.
• Assist with tender reviews and commercial comparisons.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams as required.
• Support the Estimating team with general project and tender activities.

The Role

As an Estimation Graduate, you will join our Estimating team and develop an understanding of the commercial and technical processes involved in preparing tenders for major M&E projects.

Working closely with experienced Estimators, Engineers and project teams, you will gain exposure to drawings, specifications, quantities, supplier quotations and tender submissions.
