Job summary

Solventum in Athlone, Ireland is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support production equipment in a medical device environment. You will repair and troubleshoot electro/mechanical failures and perform preventive maintenance to keep lines running.

The role requires 3-5 years in a similar technical field, PLC/motor drive knowledge, and flexibility for shift patterns; strong documentation and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Cert./Diploma/Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years experience in a similar technical role within the medical device or similar industry.
• Mechanical experience within an automated manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting / problem solving skills and analytical methodologies.
• Flexibility to work different Shift Patterns as the business requires.

Responsibilities

• Support production equipment in a medical device healthcare environment.
• Repairing and troubleshooting automated electro/mechanical equipment failures.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures through PEMAC.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
• Work proactively to ensure production performance targets are met.
• Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices & Good Documentation Practices are followed.
• Support Engineering projects and lead actions assigned to maintenance group.
• Focus on Continuous Improvement projects to drive improvements in OEE.
