Job summary

Glancy Enviro, based in Clonterm, Longford, is seeking an Environmental Officer for an immediate start at their Co. Longford facility. You'll ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits and standards, and help coordinate EMS (ISO 14001).

You will conduct site inspections and audits, monitor environmental performance indicators, advise project teams on risks and best practices, prepare reports for authorities, and support sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Environmental Officer
• Experience in environmental or sustainability-focused roles
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and compliance
• Experience supporting or working with Environmental Management Systems (e.g., ISO 14001)
• Ability to carry out site inspections, audits, and environmental risk assessments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to advise teams on environmental issues and best practices
• Knowledge of waste management, pollution prevention, and environmental monitoring
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to environmental protection

Our client, Tank Pipe and Drain Longford Limited t/a Glancy Enviro, based in Clonterm, Co. Longford, is currently seeking Environmental Officers for immediate start at their facility in Co. Longford. Key Responsibilities and duties:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, permits, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Candidates must have the requisite experience and knowledge to perform all job duties listed above
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Environmental Officer in a previous role
• A formal qualification is not required once the candidate has the requisite work experience in this type of role
• Experience working in an environmental or sustainability-focused role.
• Good understanding of environmental legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting or working with Environmental Management Systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
• Ability to carry out site inspections, audits, and environmental risk assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to advise teams on environmental issues and best practices.
• Knowledge of waste management, pollution prevention, and environmental monitoring.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to environmental protection.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different teams.

Annual Remuneration: €36,605.00; Pay Rate €18.05 per hour
