Job summary

Eirgen Pharma in Waterford is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Multi-Site Lead/Manager to shape and drive the EHS strategy across two Waterford sites.

You will partner with senior leaders to embed a high-performance safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee the EHS budget and governance. The role requires a degree in safety/science and a track record delivering safety improvements in GMP environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ GMP-regulated analytical or pharmaceutical experience.
• Experience leading EHS programmes in regulated manufacturing.
• Proven safety delivery track record.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

• Report to the COO and lead the EHS function across two Waterford sites.
• Lead the safety management system and maintain accreditation.
• Develop a culture of safety awareness with accountability.
• Lead and develop the EHS team to deliver strategic objectives.
• Establish site safety goals and KPIs with Senior Management.

About this Opportunity

As EHS Site Lead, you will shape and drive Eirgen Pharma's Environmental, Health & Safety strategy, partnering with senior leaders to embed a high-performance safety culture and ensure compliance across our pharmaceutical manufacturing and development operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the COO and leading the EHS function, you will influence EHS performance across two Waterford site of 180+ employees and contractors.
• Lead the safety management system and maintain accreditation through compliance with defined standards.
• Lead and develop a culture of safety awareness with positive reinforcement across all functions whilst generating accountability for poor safety performance.
• Lead and continuously develop Eirgen’s Safety governance forum.
• Lead, coach and develop the EHS team to deliver strategic objectives and continuously improve site safety and environmental performance.
• Establish site safety goals and KPI’s with Senior Management – reviewed annually.
• Develop and manage the annual EHS budget, ensuring resources are aligned with site priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that all work on site is carried out in compliance with the required standards to conform to company, cGxP, health and safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external customers on all key EHS project communications & issue resolution.
• Contribute to Eirgen innovation pipeline & support new product selection

About you

• Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading EHS programmes in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years’ experience in a GMP-regulated analytical or pharmaceutical environment
• Proven track record of safety delivery
• Understanding of compliance standards applicable to OSD product development & commercialisation
• A proven track record of leading cross functional project teams
• You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with good relationship management, able to engage with team members, stakeholders and external customers
• You are a natural leader and influencer, comfortable with your ability to identify risks and opportunities and manage same and driven by the task/project showing flexibility to ensure results are achieved
