Job summary

ALS is seeking General Laboratory Operators for its European hub lab in Loughrea, Co. Galway. We provide full training; no prior laboratory experience required.

An immediate start is available and you will follow ISO 17025 and INAB requirements as part of daily records and quality systems. You will follow safety rules, wear protective equipment, assist with sample handling, and report any anomalies or equipment issues to the Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Full or partial secondary education.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and wear protective equipment.
• Advise Supervisor if you see anything suspicious or potentially hazardous or if you see possibilities for improvement.
• Check and maintain order of samples and identification; report deviations.
• Operate equipment per instructions and ensure calibration status where applicable; keep area clean.
• Complete forms and worksheets; sign/initial records; report incidents or anomalies.
