Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Network Operations Engineer I to support global CDN deployments and network operations. You will work with production networks, server hardware, and peering strategies to ensure optimal content delivery and reliability.

The role requires strong communication and scripting skills, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to participate in around-the-clock support with global teams. Some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 0–2 years of experience.
• Strong communication skills for global partners.
• Understanding of fiber-optic tech and optical transport.
• Programming and scripting capabilities accompanying network/server outages.
• Ability to work independently with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for global production CDN deployments
• Understanding of production and corporate network and internet peering strategies
• Understanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity
• Day-to-day activities involve working on multiple vendor servers and various software and hardware issues
• Assist with traffic and any other queries raised by ISP/partners
• Support team in handling switches for any incidents such as input errors, CRC, RMA etc.
• Work with ISP/vendors on fixing any issues related to network
• Participate in 24/7 support with other teams across the globe. Some weekend work may be required.
