Job summary

Astreya Consultancy Ireland Ltd. is seeking a Network Operations Engineer I to provide network and server support for our CDN cluster environments in Ireland. The role requires independent work with high attention to detail and will involve working with global teams across continents.

Responsibilities include supporting production CDN deployments, understanding peering strategies, and coordinating with ISPs and partners. Some weekend work may be required as part of a 24/7 on-call culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with up to 2 years of experience.
• Builds stable working relationships internally.
• Understanding of fiber-optic technology and patch panels.
• Experience preparing root-cause analysis for outages.
• Programming and scripting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for global production CDN deployments.
• Understand production and peering strategies for networks.
• Understand server hardware related to content delivery performance.
• Handle multiple vendor servers and software/hardware issues.
• Assist with traffic and queries from ISPs/partners.
• Support switches for incidents (input errors, CRC, RMA).
• Work with ISPs/vendors to fix network issues.
• Participate in 24/7 support with global teams.
• Some weekend work may be required.
• Other duties as required.
