Job summary

Confidential is seeking a senior governance lead to own enterprise architecture standards across a hybrid cloud environment. You will govern current and proposed IT designs while also being a key player in M&A activities.

The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of experience in enterprise IT with a strong focus on governance and communication skills necessary for presenting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in enterprise IT, including 3+ in governance or architecture review.
  • Expert-level knowledge in backup/recovery, network design, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience leading architecture reviews and gap analyses across organizations.
  • Strong grasp of multi-cloud and hybrid resilience implications.
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence C-suite and board audiences.

Job description

This is the most senior technical lens on the entire enterprise — and it's pure governance, not hands-on engineering. You'll own enterprise-wide standards for IT infrastructure architecture, high availability, and resilience across a large hybrid and multi-cloud estate: assess what exists, judge what's proposed, surface what's at risk, and drive the organization to the right outcome — as a reviewing authority on the Architecture Review Board and the governance lead for mergers and acquisitions.

  • Govern current-state and proposed designs across backup, networking, compute/storage, cloud, and high availability — producing structured gap analyses and clear, actionable recommendation
  • Sit as a reviewing authority on the Architecture Review Board; lead infrastructure due diligence for M&A and divestitures, assessing inherited environments and integration risk
  • Own enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks for HA, resilience, and technology lifecycle — aligned to NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, and GDP
  • Translate deep technical assessments into executive reports, risk scorecards, and remediation roadmaps for senior leadership and governance bodie
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, network, security/CISO, and application teams to drive redesigns and embed governance into change and deliver
  • Shape vendor and technology decisions from a standards and risk perspectiv
