Job summary

Paddle is seeking an Engineering Manager for Subscriptions to lead the core of Paddle's recurring revenue engine. You will guide teams across product, engineering, and cross-functional partners to manage the full subscription lifecycle and scale billing operations.

You will mentor engineers, shape the roadmap with the Product Manager, and own technical strategy while collaborating with finance, risk, and legal stakeholders in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience with direct reports.
• Experience with Go or similar languages.
• Experience building or scaling subscription/recurring billing systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work with finance, risk, and legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery from concept to rollout with engineers and non-technical colleagues.
• Coach engineers to grow professionally and work with impact.
• Partner with Product Manager to create a roadmap for success.
• Drive process improvements and maintain autonomy.
• Oversee technical decisions and strategy for the product area.
• Contribute to Paddle's data strategy and improve reliability of high-traffic systems.
