Job summary

Ohshima Ireland LTD is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Shannon facility. You will lead manufacturing engineering, drive lean improvements, and manage a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced multinational setting.

Your role includes coordinating engineering support for customers and suppliers, driving cost reductions, and leading ERP-related process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering in a fast-paced multinational environment.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Proven track record in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience leading teams and managing performance and development.
• Familiarity with ERP implementations and integrating new processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide Manufacturing Engineering support to customers and suppliers.
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment, processes and methods.
• Prepare, maintain and communicate engineering performance reports to management weekly.
• Provide project management support where required.
• Identify and drive cost reduction initiatives and improve on-time delivery.
• Support operations capacity improvement projects and improvement teams.
• Develop and implement annual cost reduction programmes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in technology, capability and behaviour.
