Job summary

Advanced Energy in Little Island, Cork, Ireland is seeking an Engineering Manager for Future Technologies to guide a team of engineers in developing cutting-edge power solutions for medical devices from concept to commercialization.

You will work with customers, product management, and development teams to deliver innovations that improve patient outcomes and expand our medical product portfolio, with up to 20% travel and onsite requirements.

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 years minimum electronics development experience.
• 5+ years leading engineering projects and teams.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Proven experience in developing and executing project budgets.
• Proven innovation in technology and intellectual property.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in developing next-generation power technologies for medical devices and therapies.
• Identify, evaluate, and mature emerging technologies into commercially successful products.
• Foster a culture of technical curiosity, experimentation, and continuous innovation.
• Act as a visible technical leader influencing architecture, platform strategies, and investments.
• Identify and cultivate future technical and people leaders and strengthen succession pipelines.
