Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking an Electronic Engineer II to join our Little Island, Cork site. The role involves hands-on engineering across design, development, testing, and documentation of electronic products and systems, contributing to defined programs and projects.

The position requires a bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering with 3+ years of related experience; a master’s or PhD is preferred. Travel up to 10% is expected in this global organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in electronic design and development.
  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with medical devices or high-reliability systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and support systems, subsystems, and circuitry to meet performance and reliability targets.
  • Diagnose and resolve design issues across manufacturability and test yield, implementing corrective actions.
  • Own significant program elements, including technical documentation and deliverables.
  • Apply research and analytical methods to validate concepts and designs.
  • Collaborate with customers and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
  • Adhere to Product Development Process and ECO procedures.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 10%.
