Job summary

PlayStation is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead high-impact teams within the SDK Developer Host Tools division. You will balance people leadership with technical depth, guiding architecture, code reviews, and hands-on support for engineers across backend distributed systems and web/native frontends.

You will foster a positive, collaborative environment, coordinate across time zones, drive developer experience, performance and reliability, and help remove obstacles as plans unfold,

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of software engineering experience
• 3–5+ years leading engineering teams
• Experience delivering distributed systems
• Experience with developer tooling and productivity systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence

Responsibilities

• Design, review architectures, and guide engineers at code level when needed.
• Lead, support, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Collaborate across time zones and other groups to achieve goals.
• Promote developer experience, performance, reliability and usability.
